Mueller 21-758-250 is a mechanical joint (MJ) restrained gland used in waterworks and sewer piping to provide a secure, restrained mechanical joint connection on ductile iron or PVC pipe with ANSI/AWWA C111/A21.11 MJ fittings; sized for a 2.50″ pipe, it replaces the standard MJ gland and bolts to restrain the pipe from pulling out under pressure without thrust blocks, using wedge-type restraint elements that grip the pipe securely while maintaining the mechanical joint seal, making it ideal for buried installations where movement restraint and reliable sealing are required.
